In March, the PIMD team visited the Lotus Program schools and met with Provincial Education Department officials. Plans are underway to expand the Lotus Program from the current 6 pilot schools to a total of 40 schools with a view to relaunch in September 2019. At Al-Madina Vidyalaya in Nachikudah, China Bay, Trincomalee we were presented with this tribute to the late Dr. Mahesan Kandaiya, President of PIMD from 2004 to 2019. We are deeply grateful to the Principal Mr Lafir, and the Teachers and students of Al-Madina.
